HAMADA Yoshiaki, born in 1982 in Kochi, on the island of Shikoku, joined the TANABE studio in 2019 after initial training at the Oita Bamboo Craft Training Center.
As a disciple of Chikuunsai IV, he participated in many monumental bamboo installations made by his master around the world.
In 2023, he decided to return to his native island to reorganize the production chain of tiger bamboo and black bamboo, and to develop his own art. Deeply respectful of his teaching, the work presented at the MBP pays tribute to his master Chikuunsai IV.
