"Yoroi Hitsu Shiki" means "In the form of yoroi armour case".Signed "Chikuunsai zō kore [Chikuunsai made this]"Signed on the box (hakogaki) "ko-yadake yoroi-bitsu-shiki, hanakago" [Old arrow-bamboo, in the form of yoroi armour case]Kaifu Nansō, Chikuunsai zō kore with two seals “Ta tsune no in” [This is made by Chikuunsai, at the Kainansō Studio] with “The seal of Tanabe Tsuneo]”and “ChikuunsaiThe artist’s original given name: Tsuneo 常雄堺府南荘Kaifu Nansō “A House/ Studio Facing South” is a literal translation but the word might read “Minami no shō” which is an area in Sakai City, south of Osaka City.
